So many dead living like alive. "Father, we ask that your Word shall come forth as a living sword that will accomplish what it was sent to do. Let the spirit of wisdom, revelation, and the knowledge of God come, not by might, not by power, but by your Spirit. God, thank you for that breakthrough that is at the door, freedom is at the door, revelation is at the door. We won't be looking at somebody else's face, but our own, so you are able to bring this message as life, because we are drowning, and You throw the bread as our life saver on the water, just as someone would be rescued at sea. Thank You for saving us! And You brought the prophets and the apostles to bring us back to sanity." This is the Word for the bride of Christ, this is the Word for His house, this is the Word for all who have ears to hear.
There is only one Church, and in the Book of Revelation, He is speaking not only to the church of Sardis but to you and to me, those who have a name that you are alive, but you are as dead! But there is still something that remains of life inside of you: hope and seeds! "And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead" (Revelation 3:1). So, you think you are alive just because of what you do. You think you are righteous, but the prophets are seeing something else. "You are like zombies, in My eyes," says God.
"Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God" (verse 2). We all have to do this! He is not talking about the church out there but to you, to us! Your work is not perfect before God! "Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee" (verse 3). Brothers against brother, division, debates, rebellion, complaining, pride, all of these things we think we have the right to do, the Word says no, don't do it. But we continue to eat it! You have no Glory because it is His. You have no favor because of your decision. You are tired, but you have been sleeping. Do you think this Word is not for us? Do you think He is talking to someone else? This is always what the spirit of religion does: It makes you point to others, but God is pointing to you.
I am not here to be your friend. I am going to tell them how they look in the eyes of God. I am going to tell them! So the blood will not be on my hands. Blood shall be on the hands of those who hear it but still ignore it or reject it. But you say …Oh, I am anointed; I am this and that; but why don't you hear God? Don't brag about your relationship with God. You cry, you pray in tongues, you shake, but you are dirty. Pay attention to the condition of your heart. He is speaking to us so we can have life, believe, have joy, and repent! Don't deceive yourself! Jesus is coming as a thief in the night! Get your heart pure and your hands clean! It is time to come alive again! This is the house. This is the time.
"Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy" (verse 4). Do you think you are worthy? Do you think you are deserving? Do you think just because you said a prayer? When you walk with HIM, He makes you worthy. When you don't do something in your flesh and follow Him, you are worthy! But don't deceive yourself! Yes, you can never be worthy without His blood! You can never be worthy in your own righteousness! Sin, disobedience, rebellion, all the little foxes we call our friends, spoil the vine. So do not deceive yourself or your itching ears.
The devil wants to make you deaf and dumb! And you think you are greater than the Word of God. Thank God, He loves me so much that He rebukes me! His Spirit is here to help us, to comfort us, to help us to wake up, or somebody needs to help us to get up. Or we won't be able to lift our clean hands! The more you behold yourself, the more you are put to sleep! All of these messages are not just messages; they are warnings! They are Him! They are not just a message planned ahead of time or a subject that I decide to preach because it sounds good. They are oracles, warnings to the church! Those walking with Him are worthy!
We can deceive ourselves if we don't kill everything that is trying to kill Him in us. He delights in blessing us, his children. That is love! Thank God that He does not leave us in this condition of deception! Who are you? Who are we to think that God owes us anything and not be grateful for the bread He gives us? Look around you and all the junk being served. You have fresh bread, and you still complain. You still don't eat. You still desire more. What will it take for you to be content and not twist the scriptures?
Every time I open the Word of God, I never say it is finished or that it is accomplished. The manifestation only happens when I follow it and obey it. Because if I said, "I will follow Jesus," that means I need to follow His Word. But people have itching ears. You can't blame anybody else if you don’t take the narrow way. Love is the only way, and to pay the price is necessary. It might be a hard transition. This is why He has given us the Spirit. People say they can't hear God, but they are dying because they are feeding their old-man flesh instead of their spirit. Remember when you got saved, remember that hunger?! But as time goes by, and you start deciding what to eat, this part of Jesus, and not that. You love to eat His hand, but you cannot digest His kidney, His liver, and His heart! God is giving us another chance.
Today we can have revival, today we can come alive, but you have to desire it! I cannot go home with you to maintain your relationship with Jesus and keep reminding you to eat. When I hear Him, I am always in repentance. Like a brand-new car, you never wash it, never put air in the tires, never cover it, you don't take care of it at all, and then one day it does not look new, it does not run like it used to. Then you are like, "I need a new car," but you never maintain what He already gave you. You are not repenting for not taking care of it, but still demand a new one from God. God is looking for that thing He gave you. Where is it? What did you do with it? Are you being a good steward of your salvation, of your marriage, of your family of God, of the people God put in your life? He has given us a new heart; now we must maintain it. Now they are not good enough for you! You may not see what God is giving you because you are ungrateful, but others who are grateful see. Sometimes, a stranger coming in sees what you have, but you don't. God will send a person who knows nothing to remind you of how blessed you are.
When you devour one another, you are killing Jesus the Christ all over again! It says in Matthew 27:25, when they decided to crucify Jesus: "Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children." They made their decision, and they crucified an innocent man! And had the nerve to call that curse upon themselves and their children! Thank God for His blood! We are so deceived that we curse ourselves. How many are willing to pick up the cross for themselves? Many will be snuffed out because they don't want to hear the Gospel. Can you imagine Ezekiel saying, "They don't want to hear?" But God said, "If you don't tell them the Truth, all the blood will be on your hands." If you are still here, it is because you know you are hearing the Truth, but God wants us to live in revival, to come alive, not live like zombies. To love like Him, we will have to pick up our cross and not put it down.
They found no fault in Jesus. God found no fault in Jesus, but when we do find fault when there is none, we sit on the judgment seat. We go to court with our allegations against our brothers, but God starts judging us. Some people just see Ezekiel as a normal man, a messenger just like any other! The devil wants to sift you as wheat! When I want to rebel or to judge, I need to remember that moment, so that brief moment of my flesh can't and won't destroy my destiny. I must be determined to pick up my cross. We have gotten used to soft-spoken speakers with ties and suits, very charismatic and eloquent. They know how to dot the i's and cross the t's. But when His oracles speak, they won't come as a perfect speaker! When God speaks, when His messengers speak, there is no way to sleep! Unless you are already dead! God does not bring messages according to the Babylon calendar but according to His Spirit, to what is happening in the spiritual realm! Those who are alive are hungry for My life! But those who are dead, they don't want to hear it. Only the disobedient and the rebellious always get mad at the prophets. You don't need to be beaten up by the Word, just obey it! That is how it works. When we are in Him, we walk in Him and with Him. We are in agreement with Him and in covenant with eternity.
Then our hands are lifted high, our hearts are wide open, and our heads are lifted! We are illuminated! There is something different! Only the sons know the sons! Some people are not even sons. They are deceived because the Word is not being preached! "My Words are spirit, My Words are life, My Words are Truth," He said! We are all leaders, leading ourselves, our family, the lost…leading them to THE way. But if you can't lead yourself to repentance, how can you lead others? You have to have a counseling session. There is no counsel at the cross. Are you waiting for another message? No, there is no other! It's the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow! THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS! PICK UP THE CROSS!
God is crying out and saying, "Don't take my grace in vain or keep thinking you are okay because we were so close 2 years ago or 5 years ago." How is your relationship with God right now? The good thing about it is that you can step in right away. Only when you don't really want to repent is when you beat yourself up after hearing the message of the cross. It takes one step! Obey Him, keep on doing it, and love! It is like a man in adultery, and he goes home with his wife, thinking he is going to be okay. Do you think you are going to be happy without repentance? But you think the problem is this and that; the problem is you! People keep believing the problem is something else: the leader, the Body, the wife, the husband, the kids, the job. The problem is you! You are the gatekeeper of your heart. We have the Word, and when we have trespassed against it, we have Jesus. It is a win-win at the cross!
How can you believe that just because you are saved, your name cannot be blotted out of the Book of Life? Read verse 5: "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels." He is speaking to a church that has already received grace. Jesus had their name written in the Book of Life. Because of Jesus and His Word, we know that overcoming is in completion when you do not give up. It speaks in the end that those who endure to the end are overcomers for eternity!
Don't get so puffed up with your salvation. Peter, keep your faith unto the end. There is no faith in Him if you don't obey Him! Satan is trying to get your name blotted out of that Book! Only satan twists the Word! You must make sure your name stays there forever! There is something you are trying to hold to if you fight the Word of God! I believe that everybody who stays under the Body of Christ and His blood will have their names remain in the Book forever. This is a sword coming into the Body right now! "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches." Verse 6
The church in Sardis, signifying that while they had a reputation or appearance of being spiritually active (alive), they were actually spiritually lifeless or stagnant (dead). Jesus, in this passage, notes that despite their reputation, their works were not considered "complete" or perfect in the eyes of God. I don't care how great the message I preach is, because God humbles me more and more! No one has arrived according to Jesus, but have we counted the cost?
Jesus serves a warning against hypocrisy, superficial faith, or relying on past reputation rather than current, genuine spiritual vitality. It is all about the heart! He will say, "Get behind me, those workers of iniquity." The enemies of the cross are the ones who are workers of iniquity! He did not say be perfect, but be holy for He is holy! "But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy" (1 Peter 1:15-16). Don't drink that water, don't eat dirty bread, bring your flesh into submission! Love your brother! What greater love is this? That is the simplicity! The Word is here to revive. When you are around dirty-hearted people, there is darkness all around! We must love the light more than the darkness! We are not supposed to be living in the dark, but we are children of the day! We are the sons of the day! We are not sons of the night! "For you are all sons of light and sons of day, we are not of night nor of darkness" (1 Thessalonians 5:5). We are children of the day, that is, the light.
What is Jesus doing here in this passage in Revelation? The church is being instructed to "wake up" and strengthen what remains before it completely dies. This is why we cannot depend on all false doctrines, or just keep listening to worship music all day, and drink the dirty waters of a seared conscience or of offended hearts all day long! We have to eat the bread without leaven! We have to drink the living waters, or we will stay dead! If I look at what I see, I see a valley of dead bones, but I am speaking over it! Just as in Ezekiel 37:1-17! But just as Ezekiel is in Ezekiel 33, as a watchman, as an overseer, as a set man, I will not have blood on my hands! We love. We warn. We must apply only the blood of Jesus over our temple. It is that easy, but for a religious and self-righteous heart, it can take a miracle sometimes. But thank God all things are possible for Him!
A lot of things might be hidden from people, but never from God. When the Spirit of God is in the room, there are no fake people. I would rather see the fear of the Lord on our faces. Jesus was sad at the condition of the disciples. He was telling them what was going on for years: “The son of man shall be crucified, and the sheep shall be scattered. Now it is the hour. The Father has anointed me for burial." But they were so carnal. They knew Jesus as a man, as a friend. And what did they do? One betrayed Him, and others ran for their lives. Imagine Jesus saying, "For many years, I loved you. I have not held the Truth from you, I clothed you, I asked you for one thing: Watch and pray for one hour, your flesh is that weak?” Peter knew Jesus, but not like us, born-again people, because he had not yet been converted. What about those who have been converted? Can you watch and pray? Will you be in faith or in fear when He comes? "God give us strength! Help us in our weakness. We need you!"
If your brother commits spiritual suicide, but you don't know the reality of his condition, and all you say is "Hey, let's go hang out and play some basketball," is that taking care of him? When your sister is locked in her bedroom, where are you to take care of her? Can you pray for them, for one another, and for the Body of Christ? Can you hear what heaven is saying? This is where God is taking us in this last hour. Prophesy, speak to these bones, speak to these bones in all regions of the Earth, and prophesy and hear and come alive. We are expecting something in the flesh, and Jesus is expecting one another to walk in the Spirit. But it is all about you! Many are crying out because of their own disobedience!
Jesus is warning us to "wake up"! Work on this relationship with one another! You need to serve one another! You need to be there for one another. It is like a marriage! Everyone is invited to the supper of the Lamb, but ONLY THOSE WEARING WHITE GARMENTS WILL BE ABLE TO EAT. But people think it is because of what they did for Jesus, because of their works, but it is all about your heart; it is not only for what He did for us. Then we pick up our cross and follow. There is no other way!
What kills that holy seed? Sin, hate, jealousy, strife, emulations, seditions, heresies, manipulation, false accusations, fornication, division, pride, selfish ambition, disobedience, lies. These are the things that should make you repent right away. Or you are just like the Jewish leaders of His earthly time, or like all before Him who killed all the prophets – you, just like them, cannot see Jesus speaking to you and loving you. Do not live by past reputation or even past relationship with God. What is it now? Thank You, Jesus, for mercy, for Grace, for your blood.
But many trample His Blood, despise His blood, and ignore His Blood! His words are Spirit, and they are life! This is why we need daily bread. Daily water. Daily fellowship. I remember when I heard the real preaching of the Word of God! I rejoiced when I heard pick up your cross! I was leaping with joy. When you are walking with the cross, every preaching makes you more on fire, more oily, more faithful. It makes you bubble up with joy, "Man, He is talking about me!" I don't have to pick up my cross because I am already on it! There is no way for you to be in love with Jesus if you don't love your brother! There is no way for you to be in offense with anyone and think you are right with Jesus.
There is no way to preach this message if I am not living it! Don't say you cannot live it; everybody can live it because He has lived it for us. Lose yourself today! I can't wait to see everybody coming and gathering together with their own cross! You know what is going to happen? God will bring more people so you can show them your cross. People will repent and will pick up their cross because you are picking up yours! A Christ-centered church is a cross-focused congregation of the righteous.
Now let's try it again. You who hear His Word, you who know He is talking to you; religious people will never hear! If you think God will never blot your name out, then you have made you god. As long as I live, I will have this fear, the fear of the Lord. The closer you get to the Glory, the humbler you are! Revival is not about the gathering but about the dying of the old man, so the bones come alive again! Even the devil can gather people. But only the Spirit of God can transform fifty thousand people in one day!
Let's read Psalm 24: "The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas and established it upon the floods. Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully" (verses 1-4). Who can do that? Your righteousness or the blood of Jesus?
Only those with clean hands and a pure heart can do that. Only those… "He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation" (verse 5). God is no respecter of persons! He will bless only those who have CLEAN HANDS AND PURE HEARTS! But repent today, wash yourself in the blood, come alive as you eat His bread of life! Because you can be part of this generation: "This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah." Verse 6 So, let these words bring life back to you! So, you can become that everlasting door by which the Kingdom of glory will come in: "Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in." verse 7
As a house, as a vessel, he is not talking about a city in Jerusalem. You are the new Jerusalem, you are the gates, your eyes are the gates, your ears are the gates, your heart is the gate. What defiles is not what comes in, but what comes out. Who are you listening to? Gossip? Serpents? Who are you watching? Lift your head, O ye gates! Even David had a revelation of the precious value of the presence of God, as he hated it when the spirit of God was removed. Never underestimate the grace of the Gospel, the preaching, never, never, never be like Saul. Looking at all you did for God. You will be deceived. Your name can be blotted out, HE WROTE THAT. Get your heart right with Jesus, and not just pretend your heart is right.
Joy is our portion; confidence is our portion. You cannot even tell your children to follow the Word because you are not! We are the everlasting door, the everlasting house! So, the King of Glory can come in! Who is this King of Glory? It is not you; it is not me. Who is the King of Glory! His name is Jesus, the living Word, the sword of God. His name is Jehovah Jireh. His names are The Morning Star, The Way, and The Life. He is the door, everlasting life. He is the judge. He is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. He is the I AM - that settles it all! His name is above every other name. Who is this King of Glory? It is not you; it is not me!
Who is this King! He is at the door! I am the door; now you are the door. Lift up your heads and worship Him with clean hands and a clean heart! He will build a church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against her. Lift up, O ye gates, everlasting door! Lift your head. Everlasting doors!
"Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah." Verses 8-10
Who is the King of Glory? He is Jesus. We received the Word of God with gladness. We thank you that Your Word is SPIRIT AND LIFE. It is clean and pure! Lift up, O ye gates, everlasting gates! Everyone with clean hands and pure hearts shall see His face! Come alive again! Strengthen what is about to die! Eat this bread! Drink His blood and ascend the hill of the Lord and dwell on the Holy Mountain of the Lord! Thank God for your blood that has washed us whiter than snow!
No more zombies in His house. His Church is coming alive!
